MODULE 1 - Crash Course in Disability

Because I leave nothing to be read in-between the lines, we start at the very beginning and detail what disability is, how to (and not to) talk about disabilities, and how to approach any situation confidently. You will leave this module with a new perspective and a strong foundation for the rest of the program!

MODULE 2 - Photographer's Take 

Now that you are educated on various disabilities, we can get into the nitty gritty of what in-camera adjustments you need to make to provide ALL clients a consistent result. We outline optimal ranges for aperture and shutter speed. All photographers taking this course should be comfortable operating their camera and dabbling in manual mode to get the most out of this particular module. 

MODULE 3 - Adaptive Posing & Positioning

No more panicking how to pose a child who cannot sit independently! In Module 3, we deep dive into how you can modify any pose for any body and ability. This is where we also learn how to pose around medical equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, canes, gait trainers, even tubes like oxygen and tracheotomy. We hit all the bases so you can confidently work with any equipment without distracting from your subjects!

MODULE 4 - The Magic

Have you ever had a tiny client who was simply not having it?! Me too. That is when I developed my secret sauce--or magic, as my clients call it, in gaining cooperation, encouraging authentic smiles, and giving an experience all your clients will rave about--especially the kids! 



MODULE 5 - Relax & Roll With It

And while we can have all the tools in our toolbox, we can't control everything. Sometimes a session will still take a turn for meltdown city, despite our best efforts. In Module 5, you will learn how to confidently redirect your session back on track so you can deliver a beautiful gallery that will leave your clients saying "I have no idea how you got so many amazing shots--we were a mess!" 

Module 6 - Marketing for Inclusion

I saved the best for last! Okay, maybe this is not the best module but it is my FAVORITE! I teach you what you need to know to ensure your website and social media are inclusive. Website copy (text), portfolio images, even social media caption. No guesswork here, after all your city needs to know you are the go-to photographer when it comes to all things special needs and disability.
